Terms of Use

Effective date: 9 May 2026 · Governing law: New Zealand

Applies to: All visitors and registered users of www.weavhr.com

These Terms of Use apply to general use of the WeavHR website and application. If your organisation has entered into a separate written agreement with WeavHR Limited, the terms of that agreement will apply to the extent of any inconsistency.

About These Terms

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the WeavHR website and the WeavHR application (together, the ‘Service’). The Service is owned and operated by WeavHR Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (‘WeavHR’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’).

By visiting this website or logging in to use the WeavHR application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of a business or organisation, you are agreeing to these terms on that organisation’s behalf.

The Service may support HR, onboarding, compliance, workforce management, and reporting processes. It does not provide legal, employment, immigration, tax, payroll, or professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions made using the Service.

Who Can Use WeavHR

You may use the Service if you:

  • are at least 18 years old;
  • have authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation; and
  • are not prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law.

Registered user access is granted through your organisation’s WeavHR account. Your account credentials are personal to you and must not be shared with anyone else.

Your Account

Keeping your account secure

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must tell us straight away if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission. You can contact us at privacy@weavhr.com.

Accurate information

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering and to update your details if they change.

Account suspension or termination

We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or that continued access poses a risk to WeavHR or other users. We will try to let you know before doing so, except where we need to act immediately to protect the Service or others.

How You May Use the Service

You may use the Service only for its intended purpose: managing HR-related tasks for your organisation.

You must not:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems;
  • upload or share content that is offensive, misleading, or infringes anyone else's rights;
  • use automated tools (such as bots or scrapers) to access or extract data from the Service without our written permission;
  • resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Service.

Intellectual Property

Our content

All intellectual property in the Service — including software, design, text, logos, and documentation — belongs to WeavHR or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

Your content

You retain ownership of any data or content you upload to the Service (‘Your Content’). By uploading Your Content, you give us a licence to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe any third party’s rights and that you have all necessary consents to upload it (for example, consents from employees whose personal information you are storing).

Feedback

If you give us feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use those ideas to improve our products without any obligation to you.

Customer Data and Privacy Responsibilities

Organisations using WeavHR are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to collect, upload, use, and share personal information through the Service, including employee, contractor, candidate, customer, and compliance information.

WeavHR processes that information to provide the Service and does not sell customer data.

Availability and Changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to carry out maintenance, updates, or security work from time to time, which may require the Service to be temporarily unavailable.

We may change or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. Where a change is significant, we will try to give you reasonable notice.

Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party tools. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. You access them at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • WeavHR is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service;
  • our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986, where those Acts apply.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold WeavHR harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

Privacy

How we collect and handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. By using the Service, you confirm you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If a dispute arises between us, we both agree to try to resolve it in good faith before pursuing any formal legal process.

The New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, which means you may also have rights under the laws of the country where you are located.
